Mardi Gras

So we had our last show of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare Abridged tonight. It's so sad to know it's over. I've made so many new friends, who are amazing by the way. I think we all had a pretty good time together! And hopefully we will all keep in touch and hang out still. Now that I have all this free time at night, I don't know what I'm going to do with it...?

Last night after a very successful show, we all decided to go to the Mardi Gras festival down in the Student center at UVU. Shari took me home so I could change from my work clothes, then we went to her house, got all dressed up Mardi Gras style, with masks =) Then we met up with Robbie, Josh, Will and Sean to watch the hypnotize show. I really don't believe in it at all. And I had never seen a show before, so I thought it would be a laugh. The guy, Bruce, came all the way from New Orleans. Lets just say the show was AMAZING! I don't think I have ever laughed so hard in my life. They had probably about 100 volunteers, OK, maybe not that much, probably more like 60-70, but it was a lot. Josh and Will were two of them. Bruce started out getting them all peace full lalala. Then people just started passing out. e did a couple more things. Several of the volunteers got up and left. He would do different stuff until about half the volunteers were left, they were the ones who were so deep in it, you could practically say anything and they would do it.
Josh was in the last half.
Bruce had then visualize a smell so bad, like weeks old locker socks. And the smell was just soo bad you can hardly stand it. It was very amusing to watch the peoples faces. They were all passed out asleep all over the stage. One girl sat right up and started gagging, we all thought she was going to puke all over the others. Then Bruce changed the smell to Roses. The best thing you could ever smell. The volunteers started smelling each other, they got so into it, it looked like they were all making out with each other. It was so funny.
Bruce picked three girls, and told them that one of them was the real Brittney Spears, but we didn't know which one was it. When he snapped his fingers they all started singing Hit me baby one more time, or what ever that song is called. They would fight and push each other out of the way.
Then he had a group of ballerinas. That was amusing to watch they guys.
Then they went into the audience and sat on someone they didn't know. Josh sat on a guy's lap. Bruce then told them that they are to act like they are in love with that person in which they are sitting on, run their hands through their hair, look at them like their in love with them. That was super amusing! Josh kinda snapped out of it for a minute, looked at Robbie and said "What the hell?" But then just climbed over the chair and onto a girls lap, where he was told to kiss her with all the love possible, but that there was a piece of Plexiglas between then so he cant touch her lips. Then he told all the guys that when he clears his throat, they will all check their zippers.
Then last but not least, he told everyone to return to their seats. Josh came back and sat with us, but you could tell he was still out of it. Bruce said that when he said "Superstars" They would all remember they are the group Nsync and would sing Bye Bye Bye. So when he was saying thank you to everyone and the show was ending, he said "And no matter what, remember you are all Superstars!" And everyone jumped up and ran on stage, it was awesome!

Josh couldn't remember anything past falling asleep. He also didn't believe us when we said he tried to make out with a guy. So we told him we had pictures and showed him. He's still in denial.
One of the funny things is that, I cleared my throat, without thinking about it later on, and he totally checked his zipper, we did it to him a couple times through out the night. It was amusing.

After that, we headed to the Mechanical Bull. Heck yes, I finally got to ride one! I don't think I did that bad. It was so much fun! Josh and Will went on over and over and over again. To the point that they both had major bruises on their thighs.
And then we went back into the Regan and watched The Princess and the Frog until four in the morning. When we finally went home.

It was one of the funnest nights ever! And another funny fact, I'm under 18, which means I wasn't supposed to be there. They were IDing everyone at the front. You needed either to prove you were 18 or over, or have a UVU ID. I just so happened to have an ID, yay me!

Shakespeare didn't write 'Hamlet,' it was a Mel Gibson movie

OK the performance for The complete works of William Shakespeare tonight was Uh-Mazing! The audience was great, the acting was great, and we techies were great! Aside from the house lights coming on and not going off, the show was great! We only have four more shows to go, we actually only had three, but they added another on Saturday.. There is still time for everyone to come and see this amazing and funny play! It's at 7:30, Thursday, Friday and Saturday night, and one at 4:30 on Saturday. The doors open at 7 and 4, get there early in order to get a seat, it's FREE, so there will be a line! It's in the UVU Black Box Theatre.

Getting on with things..
My job at Quiznos is sooo much fun, I love the business of it all, the challenge to memorize all the subs. I'm working more hours now that I'm kinda trained in all the areas. This week I'm working almost 20 hours, and hopefully next week, I'll be working more.

Tomorrow Night I'm going to the movies.
The Princess and the frog is playing at the Dollar theater, I know, Utah has a dollar theater! Anyways, I'm going with a group of friends from the play.

And now for my newest news.....
I'M GOING TO BE IN A PLAY!!!!!!!!!
Well ok, its not definetly yet, but it almost is. My friend is directing it for her Final project, and wants me to be the "Innocent looking" girl. Since it is for a final, it's only 10 minutes of the play. And there are two other guys. I think it will be a blast!

PM in Provo

I think I've finally decided what I'm going to do. I've been debating for a long time about whether I want to go to Vet Tech school, Cosmatology school, or even maybe be a Drama teacher at a High School. BUT I have decided (for now) that I want to go to Paul Mitchell. And it's right here in Provo. Megan is taking me over there in the morning so we can get more information. I was thinking I would just go to night school and keep my job during the day, but then as I was talking to my mom she suggested we might be able to get enough finacial aid to cover tuition and my rent so then I would only need spending money. And then i could go to school full time during the day and maybe even still do some Theatre at night! But like every plan, we will see what happens. I'll keep everyone posted on what I find out tomorrow!

Lalala

I've been so busy these last couple of days. At least it seems that way, whether I actually am or not, I don't really know. I've been working during the day and then doing the play at night. Last night was opening night. It was AMAZING! Except for a few mishaps during the last act, where Justin ran out on stage forgetting his cup of water, so ran back tripping over the costume rack, grabbing the cup and knocking over the three high blocks. Yeah, all in all, it was pretty funny. So thats pretty much been my week.
Ever since I got a computer, I've gotten rather lazy, I used to walk down to the library every day for my 90 minutes on the computer, check out some more books, and just get out. Now I just need to walk 10 feet to my computer. I need to go to the library o drop off some books, but like I said, I'm putting off the walking three blocks. Yeah, lazy, I know.

Finally

It's 3:20 right now. 3:20AM. What am I doing up you may ask?
Well I am now the Prop Master for UVU's Student Production The Complete Works of William Shakespere. It's hilareous. But anyways, they open on Thursday and this is my first night working backstage. Lets just say it was not a pretty sight.
It's a three man show but man do they have a lot of costumes and props in a little amount of space. It's all done in a Black Box theatre.
Anyways back to why I'm awake at an unsanely time. I had to put together a prop list, and a way of keeping the 3' by maybe 10' space behind the courtain organized and running smoothly. That is my speacialty right? Hmmm we shall see how far I get on this.
I've just got done, but I still need to do a bunch more tomorrow, or should I say later today. I'm falling asleep at the computer right now. I've had five water bottles and a butt load of chocolate to keep me awake this whole time. Plus Corey talking to me over skype for that last three hours. Thank goodness for friends!
But now my chocolate is gone, I need to pee and my friends are all in bed, it's time to go to bed to. Not like thats going to be very hard to do. Oh and I got the job at Quiznoes! Yay me! I start tomorrow. Well goodnight....for now :)

Feelings written on paper

So I was inspired by my friend Jordan, who is a great poet, I think so at least. To give writing a try. I way like writing in general, so here is my attempt at Poetry. It's not very good. The last two are my first attempts. Some of them really don't have a personal meaning to them. Like I miss you, that one was just written, ideas come to my head, and then I write them down.

MISS YOU
By Kimber Smith
I miss those eyes
green like none other.
Face it, my hands
don't fit with another.
That smile so cute,
so crooked and pure.
Sprinkled freckles
that's for sure.
It's you who brings
those tears to my eyes.
The one who said that
last goodbye.
So play me a song
and tell me its fine.
Some day, one way
you'll be mine.
(Not the original last verse. It will come later.)

This on is for my friend Sam.
TRUST ME
By Kimber Smith
Trust in me
To keep your secrets safe and sound
To always be here, there and around.
Trust in me
to bring you up,
when you have reached the ground
To see you smile and say you're fine,
but cross my arms and say you're lyin.
Trust in me to know I'm right,
but give into avoid that fight.
times of darkness, trust in me to
always be the light.
Trust in me
to let you go but always know,
I'll be your friend until the end.

BEAUTIFUL
By Kimber Smith
As I sit upon this Rock, I listen.
Hear that? It’s the wind rustling the leaves.
It's the bark of a far off dog, wanting attention.
It’s the waves rippling onto the shore.
Isn’t it Beautiful?
As I sit upon this Rock, I watch.
See that?
It’s the Ocean, gray like the sky on a cloudy day.
It’s the Majestic Mountains atop with snow as white as a dove.
It’s the trees dancing to the music of the wind with colors to brighten your day.
Isn’t it Beautiful?
As I sit upon this Rock, I touch.
Feel that?
It’s the cold seeping its way through my warm winter coat.
It’s the sharp bristles of the grass quickly fading to yellow.
It’s the tip of a branch tapping my shoulder as if to say “hello”.
Isn’t it Beautiful?
As I sit upon this Rock, I sniff.
Smell that?
It’s the salty breeze coming off the Ocean.
It’s the promise of a rain storm soon on its way.
It’s the nothing and everything of a peaceful Fall day.
Isn’t it Beautiful?
As I sit upon this Rock, I think.
Think what you may ask?
It’s the beauty of imagination,
Things you can only imagine if you take the time
To sit upon this rock as I do.
Isn’t it Beautiful?

SNOWFLAKES
By Kimber Smith
They fall from the sky
With beauty and grace.
On a day like today,
Cold and gray.
All different sizes,
And all different shapes.
White as a dove,
Small like a bug.
Cold to the touch
Melts into slush.
I open thy mouth big and wide
Stick out thy tongue for here they come.
They stick together and pile up high,
Almost as if they can reach the sky.
It comes all morning, day and night
To cover the earth in a blanket of white.

It's that time of year again...

So I've been thinking, I want to grow my hair out to my natural color, but then again, it's getting kind of gross. It's not the much a difference, but when it is dirty, you can really tell I have one color on top and another on bottom. What should I do?
I can leave it be, so it turns back into Alaskan Blonde
Or I can go lighter again

Or I could just do the same color I have now

Or I could do something compleatly different. I could go black, brown, red, give me ideas people!

Because I love my aunts....

So there is this guy. And this other guy. And well, yes, yet another guy.

Bob, George and Fred.

Three guys who have taken out loans and an apartment in the back of my head. They seem to love it there because they don't quite want to leave. And so I'm stuck being the landlord, to nice to kick them out.

Fred is a music person. Therefore, there is always a song playing in my head. Always some lyric on the edge of my tounge, begging to be sung.

George is a dangerous person. Always nagging me to do my own thing. Be my own person. And when being insulted, insults right back.

And Bob. Well Bob is just Bob. And thats it.

Oh and an update on my second interview, that was today. It went really good I think. I went with Megan to get a costume from DI, we did pretty good. I should know by Monday if I got the job or not. Lets hope I did. And if not, well I have an interview for Quiznos on Monday. So I get a second chance at a job. Yay me!

Did you hear about the new Pirate movie?

It's rated arrrr! Hahaha. Ok maybe it's a little lame. But thats ok, jobs are lame. I had my first interview at Pirate Island today. It went GREAT! And for those of you who do not know what Pirate Island is, well I'll tell you. It's kinda like a chuckie Cheese's, but Pirate themed. Anyways, I have a second interview on Friday, more like an audition. I have to come dressed as a pirate, and recite the menu in Piratees. Ok not the whole menu, but close enough for them to know I'll catch on to it fast. If I get the job, I'm going to be telling all kinds of pirate jokes lol. If you have any, be sure to let me know! And wish my luck with my second interview!!

Fresh Start

Ok, I'm going to start anew. I know, I know, I've said that before. But this morning I was thinking about it. I've been all mopey or depressed or something lately and it's going to stop now. Today.

I have a job interview tomorrow at Pirate Island, from what I've heard it's kinda like chuckie cheese, except pirate themed? I'm hoping and praying I get the job. When I got the interview call last night, I was jumping up and down all excited, this is the call I've been waiting for.

I've got involved with theatre again. This has been a lot of fun. And I've made some friends along the way! I'm helping with costumes for Jonah and the Big Fish. It's ending on the 15th, so then I'll help out with another play...hopefully.

I think I've decided to go to Veterinary Tech school. So we'll see how that goes.

I know exactly what I'm doing for housing in the Summer and Fall. I'm gonna stay at Winterhaven with my theatre buddies!

And last but not least, I'm going to Disneyland with my family in May! So I have that to look forward to and save money for.
No more worry about old things. Old guys. Old friends. It's like they say, if they arnt here maybe theres a reason for it. Or something like that.. Hmm. Well this song here is my inspiration lol.
Red High Heels by Kelly Pickler

This year might be a great one after all!

Only in Alaska

Would kids be aloud to play on tractors.
That you can ride your bike and see this.
And this.

Getting a moose like this.
You take your whole family to shoot a Buffalo.

You'll find the BEST blueberries!
Collecting wood is made fun with a 4-wheeler.

Drive down the road and see a moose.
Walk the rocky beaches of Seward.
Play with mud on the Matanuska River.
And see such a Beautiful sunset.
This is why Alaska is the best!

Mission Pictures

So Christopher sent me the card from his camera with pictures on it, I took the liberty to put some of the on here so everyone can see. Sounds like he's having a blast on his Ogden, UT Mission.
